The Foxborough Professional Firefighters would like to congratulate Cory Shepardson of class 179 for completing the 12 week recruit firefighting program at the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy. Firefighter Shepardson is one of 69 graduates representing 34 departments to complete the recruit training. We wish all the graduates a long and safe career in the fire service. Firefighter Shepardson is seen below with Senator Timilty receiving a citation from the Commonwealth congratulating him on the completion of his training.
Foxborough Fire & Rescue has relocated to 8 Chestnut St in the new public safety building. The members of Local 2252 would like to thank everyone that was a part in our transfer in making it a great success. The old station on School St was permanently closed as of November 15, 2007. Firefighter Jim Grenier organized the official decommissioning of the old station where the retirees participated in the final "All Out" by sounding the fire horns and the lowering of the flag. A new chapter in the history of Foxborough Fire & Rescue has begun and we all look forward to see where it brings us.
