About the Foxborough Professional Firefighters Local 2252

The Foxborough Fire Department consists of 28 Full-Time Professional Firefighters. We operate out of one centrally located station and have a shift strength of seven firefighters on duty. There is one fire chief, a deputy chief, and a secretary. There are also eight on-call firefighters that are called in with a full recall and assist in the fulfillment of details.

Foxborough has a state of the art communications center where there are 2 civilian dispatchers on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  They are responsible in operating both Police and Fire department communications, the Enhanced 911 emergency phone system, and monitoring the surrounding towns and Norfolk County Control's radio communications.

There are four full-time groups that work a rotating schedule of 24 hours on duty, 24 hours off duty, 24 hours on duty, and 5 days off duty that operates on an eight day work week. Each group consists of one Fire Captain and 6 Firefighters. They operate 3 Class A Fire Pumpers, one 110' Aerial Ladder, 2 ALS Rescues, one rescue inflatable boat, and three woodland fire/brush trucks.

The Town of Foxborough has several major highways running through it including Interstate 95, Interstate 495, Route 1, Route 140, Route 106, and Route 115. There is a co-response to all incidents on the Interstates with our surrounding towns to help provide fast and reliable service to the people that travel them. The town also is home of the New England Patriots and Gillette Stadium. Gillette stadium has the capabilities to seat over 70,000 spectators as well as a compliment of staff for a variety of events including NFL football games, national soccer games, concerts, specialty shows, and cooperate events. We are also the home to the Patriot Place shopping experience, the New England Bass Pro Shops, and the Brigham and Woman's/Mass General Health Care Center .

We are a growing department with a lot of new opportunities to look forward to in the near future. Our staff strives to be the best in the emergency service business and our objective is to protect life and property within the town of Foxborough.
